Account & data deletion
You can delete your Getmesoon account and personal data at any time. This page explains how to do it from inside the app, what we delete and what we may need to keep, and how to request deletion by email if you can no longer access the app.
Delete your account in the app
The fastest way to delete your account is directly in the Getmesoon app:
- Open the Getmesoon app and sign in.
- Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account.
- Choose a reason (optional) and confirm.
- Your account is deactivated immediately and permanently deleted after the processing period described below.
Note: cancelling a paid subscription is separate from deleting your account. Manage subscriptions in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.
What we delete
- Your profile, photos and bio
- Your matches, likes and swipe history
- Your messages and conversations
- Your preferences and settings
- Identifiable usage and device data linked to your account
What we may retain
- Transaction, billing and tax records — retained as required by law (typically up to 8 years in India).
- Records related to safety, fraud, bans or legal claims — retained as long as necessary to protect the community.
- Data we are required to keep to comply with a legal obligation or a lawful request from authorities.
- De-identified or aggregated data that can no longer be linked to you.
Processing time: Active account data is generally deleted or anonymised within 30 days of your request, except for the categories listed above that we are required or permitted to retain. Backups are purged on our regular backup rotation cycle.
Request deletion by email
If you can't access the app, you can request deletion by emailing [DATA DELETION EMAIL] from the email address associated with your account, or by using the form below. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing the request.
